I went into my first shaking session with Jenn with very little expectation. As a fitness/wellness professional my body was feeling tense and tight, but this was the norm. Jenn created such a warm, safe space, my body totally relaxed and I experienced shaking /therapeutic tremoring during my first session. In our following sessions she guided me through exactly what my body needed, and the trust and allowing that happened in that safe space was truly what I needed, without even knowing I needed it. Jenn has a gift and encourage anyone on this journey to be experience it.

Your Body Already Knows How to Heal

For millennia, nature optimized our nervous systems with a built-in reset mechanism: therapeutic tremoring. You’ve seen it — an animal shaking after a frightening moment, and then simply… moving on. No lingering. No storing. Just release, and return to life.

We were designed with that same capacity.

But somewhere along the way, we were conditioned to suppress it — to stay composed, to resist, to try and control. To hold it in. To push through. And so the stress, the tension, the grief, the overwhelm — it stayed, and it grew. Stored in the tissues. Recorded on the nervous system. Quietly running the show.

People who experience Shaking Medicine often say it feels less like learning something new and more like waking something up from deep within — a homecoming to a part of themselves they didn’t know they’d lost. And the shifts? Profound, often after just a single session.

Shaking Medicine isn’t somatic shaking. It isn’t TRE. It’s its own beautiful, creative, full-body journey — one that moves tremoring through your entire system, from standing to all fours, belly to back, side to side — through each and every fiber, creating a truly holistic experience.

And because I’m also a yoga teacher, alignment coach, and nervous system nerd — I’ve woven all of that into how I hold this space for you.

How a Session Flows

Think of this as a moving meditation — a guided journey inward, layer by layer.

Physical Warm-Up
We arrive in the body. Grounding, opening, and often waking up through gentle yoga-based movement, and not limited to.

Energetic Warm-Up
We begin turning inward — using practices like breathwork, forms of intuitive movement, yin shapes, guided visualization — gently walking you away from the noise of the day and into yourself.

Voluntary Shaking
A meditative, body-scan style of somatic shaking — like Yoga Nidra, but moving. We invite each part of the body to shake and release, step by step, with full awareness.

Therapeutic Tremoring
This is where the magic deepens. Using yoga postures from standing to the floor, we safely guide your body into its own natural tremoring response — the ancient, intelligent release mechanism that’s been waiting inside you all along.

Rest & Integration
Stillness. Space. Let it all settle. You’ll likely feel lighter than you have in a long time.

 

Below, is a 2 minute segment of a 75 minute shaking medicine practice with me and a student. We began the tremoring portion in mountain pose, and she quickly felt called to move into a forward fold. Learning to shake in this posture can give great relief to the whole back body. Eventually we moved to the ground. Typically, in one session, we will tremor in 3-4 shapes.

Shaking Medicine is a somatic, therapeutic practice designed for anyone looking to release stored stress, trauma, tension, and emotional blockages. It utilizes instinctive, spontaneous body tremoring to restore balance to the nervous system, improve energy levels, and promote physical relaxation. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

As a coach, I know that we cannot work through everything through conversation alone. Where the conversation ends, the shaking begins. It is designed to help transform, release, and heal trauma, stress, and deeply held emotions in ways that verbal conversations often cannot.

One-on-One Sessions Available online or in person, and tailored entirely to you. This is where the real magic happens — a personalized journey guided at your pace, your way.

For new students, the first session will be ninety minutes. All sessions after that will be sixty minutes. Packages of three sessions are strongly encouraged, and not required. Fifteen minute discovery calls available to determine if an aligned fit and begin building trust.

In a coaching session with Jenn, I shared that I was wanting to “shake” some things off. It felt like a divine intervention when she told me she had been working with shaking medicine. The work Jenn and I do together always seems to arrive in perfect timing, so I immediately jumped at the opportunity to try this practice with her.

I came into our first session feeling both nervous and excited, curious about what might unfold, while also sensing in my body that this was something I deeply needed. Jenn brought such a grounding, steady presence to the session, and the tone was perfectly set for my body to receive the release it had been holding. She created a space that felt so safe and supportive that I was able to fully shake in our very first session. With her guidance, it felt like I was gently led through the inner workings of my body, shedding layers of extra baggage I didn’t even realize I had been carrying.

We went on to have two additional sessions, and with each one I felt more attuned to my body. Jenn continued to hold a container that allowed me to release old stories and weight my body had been holding (much of it unbeknownst to me). Her presence made it possible to keep softening, trusting, and letting go.

What surprised me most was how light and easy my body felt afterward. I found myself softening, laughing, and experiencing a deep sense of relief after each session.

Now, I’m able to shake on my own, carrying Jenn’s safe and reassuring voice with me. I would wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone seeking a deeper connection with their body, their inner wisdom, and the divine.
