Hello, my brave and daring friend —

I hope that you are finding ways to stay grounded and receiving extra support during these hot summer months of COVID and injustice. Support is always the name of the game when it comes to keeping our mindset in check, and these times call for even more of it as many of our survival mechanisms have more access to us as everything everywhere is one great big invitation to level up. Do you feel it?

If you missed last week’s blog, it was full of tips from a guest writer, Hannah Levin, who has a wealth of information in the area of Ayurveda. If you’re unfamiliar, in a nutshell, Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest holistic (“whole-body”) healing systems. I’m continuing to find so much value in the tips that she shared! Which ones are supporting you most? For me, the reminder of cooling foods was much needed, and I find I’m naturally drawn to many of the lifestyle tips Hannah offered.

As you may (or may not remember), I had shared that I was going to be a guest on Hannahs’s weekly “Inspirational Interview” series in her Facebook group. With many people on summer vacations and having extra time on their hands, I thought that I would share the interview between Hannah and I. We talked about the mindset of yoga.

If you don’t practice yoga, you will still benefit from this interview. To me, yoga isn’t really about the stuff that happens on the mat; It’s about the stuff that happens off of it. My other half does not practice yoga by way of getting on the mat and putting his body in shapes, but I think he’s one of the most amazing yogis I know because his way life is yoga. Yoga simply means to connect, unite, balance, etc.

The interview starts off pretty powerfully as Hannah invites me to share a little bit more about something I mentioned on my website regarding how I used to experience so much stress that it would’ve killed me at some point. Yoga was one of my first awarenesses into that, and the first thing that got me to see that I didn’t know how to rest and what the impact of that was.

For me, yoga wasn’t quite enough to shift the behaviors that were creating the stress off the mat, and that’s where coaching came in — Coaching is like yoga for the mind!

I hope you enjoy the interview!

Crave more connection and inspiration?!? I post almost daily on Instagram, and I am particularly active in the stories. I’ve recently started experimenting with live videos on Tuesdays at 4 pm EST (New Tool Tuesdays) and Fridays at 10 am EST (visualization). If you can be there in real time, that’s always ideal so we can get the energy flowing. If not, all vides are saved under the IGTV section.

I’ve also taken to sharing my Linktree link these days as it’s much easier than having to update my website since things are shifting so quickly. Here, you can find links to: my website, my Instagram, virtual yoga, my YouTube Channel, retreats, Juice Plus, doTERRA, Boss Babe Co. discounts, and guest interviews.

As always, please, share this newsletter with anyone who may need to see it. Often times, my greatest gifts come from my tribe who are looking out for me.
