Hello, my friend!

If you’re new to my blog, welcome! This is a way that I like to connect with you and share the things that I believe matter most when it comes to transforming your life, business, and career in a sustainable way.

If you’re a returning reader, it’s so good to be with you again. I hope you’ve been well since my last share.

I have a handful of themes, that I rotate between, that I find to be most pertinent for mindset work and the science of transformation. The theme of today’s newsletter will be “yoga off the mat”. If you need a refresher as to why I find this to be an important theme to continue exploring, my previous “Addicted to Busy” blog tells all.

On the 7th, I got to lead another “Bold Practice for A Busy Brain” workshop, which is one where I weave together restorative yoga, essential oils, breath work, visualization/meditation, and mindset coaching around setting goals (in a way that actually works).

Not long after the event, an attendee reached out to say, “I am slowly getting back into running and when I ran today my hips felt better aligned and stronger than they have in awhile. It had to be the yoga!” This person, literally, took the yoga off the mat and into running, which created a better experience than they had had in awhile.

Yoga was never meant to be contained to the mat. The mat is simply a safe space to train your body, mind, and spirit, while you practice for life.

As the solstice is getting closer upon us, I’m really feeling the pull to turn inward and reflect, and I’m honoring that, so I’m going to keep today’s blog short and sweet leaving you with some questions to ponder during this deeply reflective time of the year:

  • What’s possible when you feel good in your body?
  • Did you know that your physical well-being is directly connected to your emotional and mental well-being? What does this information mean to you?
  • If you’re a high energy person, do you counter that with gentle and restorative practices, or is everything about pushing yourself? What’s the impact of this?
  • If you’re a low energy person, do you find ways to raise the energy, or are your practices keeping your energy lower than it needs to be? What’s the impact of this?
  • When do you take time to explore your internal world, so you can more fully thrive in the external one? What gets in the way of that? How can you make your commitment bigger than the thing in the way?
  • Are you taking time to celebrate all that you created in 2019, or are you focusing on where you fell short? What’s the impact of that?

From now until the 21st, the days will be getting shorter and shorter. As we are faced with darkness around us, it’s an invitation to explore the darkness within. From that place, we get to stand in the most brilliant rays of sunshine.

Consider creating a sacred solstice experience at your home or finding an event in the community. If you’re in the Charlotte area, I’m attending a Cacao ceremony with Shamanic breath work at Okra. I got my ticket yesterday as I’m pretty sure they’ll sell out. I would love to see you there!

As always, please, share this newsletter with anyone who may need to see it. Often times, my greatest gifts come from my tribe who is looking out for me.

Need more connection?!? I’m very active in my social media stories. Come and say hi!
