Whether you’re reading today’s newsletter as an entrepreneur or an intrapreneur, you have an opportunity to create a strong brand that will support you in your business, career, and life.
I’d venture to say that most people are familiar with the necessity of businesses needing to have strong brands in order to attract ideal clients more quickly, but not as many of us may be aware of the importance of branding in this day and age when we’re not business owners.
For example, as an entrepreneur who is a service provider, I am the face of my brand. The more I reflect my brand and the more my brand reflects me, the easier it is to let my target market find me.
I love the question my branding guru/biz strategist poses… “Is your brand working as hard as you are to get clients?” I mean… do you want to work harder than you actually have to?!? I sure don’t!
The woman I was having coffee with yesterday morning told me that at the tech company she works for, one of the workshops that was offered with the highest attendance was one about personal branding. To me, this isn’t surprising considering many tech companies are full of millennials, and they just seem to get this type of thing.
If you’re an Intrapraneur, strong personal branding is a fantastic career building strategy! According to James Walker, a global digital manager, “Crafting a great personal brand and using it in the right way can make be the differentiating factor that moves you from being seen as a “great networker” to an “excellent asset to the organization.”
The thing with authentic branding is that it evolves as we do.
If you’ve been following me since I started by business 5+ years ago, you’ve had the opportunity to see 3 websites, 3 newsletter platforms, tweaked logos, rewritten tag lines, differently styled photos, etc.
In fact, you may even have noticed the new banner at the top of today’s newsletter has a new photo of me and another new tag line…
Yep! You guessed it–I’ve stepped even more fully into who I am as a coach and person, how I serve, and who I serve. If you’d like to take a peek at the latest transformation to The Bold Thing, I’d love to share it with you. Click here to see what I’ve beeb up to!
If you’re curious to see what a strong brand looks like–I’d, especially, invite you to take a peek at my latest website changes as Lisa Speer of Speer Creative Edge is one of the best there is when it comes to this. (Lisa has no idea I’m throwing her a shout out in today’s newsletter, btw. Love you, Lisa!)
No matter where you’re at when it comes to branding, just remember that where you are right now is where you need to be, and when you’re ready to take whatever step is next for you, there are so many people out there who can support you.
Branding is one of those things that I would recommend to hire someone to help you out with. If you don’t know what you’re doing and you try to do this on your own, you’ll hurt your brand more than you’ll help it.
I know it’s scary, but if you’re not willing to invest in yourself, your biz, and your career, you just won’t get as far, and that’s a promise. Branding isn’t something to skimp on as you do get what you pay for, and you are so worth the investment.
Speaking of investments, there are 5 spots left for Release. Relax. Restore. A Fall Retreat for Balance and Release. at The Art of Living Retreat Center in Boone, NC, which is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
In the past 5+ years, what I’ve come to know is that the biggest breakthroughs in our lives, businesses, and careers (almost) always come byway of a mamma jamma breakthrough in self love/self care.
What one of last year’s attendees had to say, “This retreat came to me in the perfect dose at the perfect time. It is true that I had to be willing to give myself the gift of the retreat, but Jenn took over from there. She chose a wonderful venue with beautiful views, quiet paths, the nicest staff you’ll meet anywhere, and a kitchen that created delicious vegan/vegetarian meals. Even though I’ve done a fair amount of self-work, it was clear that there was plenty of room for more. I gained new tools and skills to take with me out into the world. It was great to bond with the others at the retreat, and hardly anything beats being in a room filled with people who really want to be their best selves in the world. For me, I think, my best take-away was the heightened ability to slow down and come from my heart center…more often and for longer periods of time.” Donna Robey, St. Louis, MO
I’m here to support you in anyway I can to make this accessible to you. Use me as you need me.
