It’s hard to believe that it’s only been 8 days since I wrote my last blog post. I’ve created so much possibility, and I hope the same is true for you.

I’m writing today’s post as I make my way home from San Diego. After participating in phase 1 of 3 of an ontological leadership training, I find myself more more raw than I’ve been in a long time, and I’m excited to be recharging my batteries after feeling all the feels as I pulled back more layers of my unconscious.

In service of keeping it simple, I’m going to share some key highlights of my week that I believe to be important to designing/re-designing your business and life.

Last Thursday, I got to speak to a small group of fashion marketing students at the Art Institute of Charlotte. During our 2 hours together, we talked about entrepreneurship, using your purpose, business, and career choices.

The key points I noticed we chatted about the most were:

  • staying committed to “the basics” even if you’ve been in business for awhile because we can get sloppy with things we previously had handled. IE: When I mentioned in last week’s newsletter my pattern of overwhelm was getting in the way of me upleveling with as much speed and power as I wanted to, and it was time for me to re-hire my first coach (the ontological genius, Dave) to take it to a deeper level — we need to make sure we keep our scandals handled!
  • how life outside of business is one of the biggest issues I see coming up for myself and my clients. IE: If you’re relationship with your boo is going down the toilet, how does that impact you being able to show up the way you need to show up in your biz? If you’re well-being sucks and you’re running on empty all the time, who do you think you’re being?
  • limiting beliefs — IE: If you decide you want to have a breakthrough in your speaking opportunities, which would have you move from unpaid, small groups to being compensated well to engage with hundreds of people at one time, you better believe those fears are going to pay you another visit. Time to raise your prices?!? Be sure you own that you are worthy of that raise, so you don’t throw a monkey wrench into your abundance!

Examples such as these are why I chose to commit to another leadership training. Not only am I being reminded of the tools and distinctions I was taught in my coaching and leadership program, but I’m getting to hear them taught to a group of people who are not training to be coaches, so there’s less jargon. I’m so grateful to hear some of the same stuff taught in a different way — there’s so much power in this if you’re committed to being a student for life!

While I’d love to share with you about some of the experiences I created while there, I’m still in process, and it’ll be most supportive to you after I’ve gotten to the other side.

What I will say is this:

  • there’s no replacement for doing transformational work within a team, especially if you’re a solopreneur because we get to see different ways we play small and self sabotage.
  • I’m super clear on what I’ve been putting in the way of my my goals.
  • I’m aware of the breakthrough I need to have to move through the obstacles.
  • I have a team of 50 people to support me while I’m in process.
  • By December 6th 2018, I will be sharing with you that I’ve almost doubled my monthly income.
