Welcome to summer (officially), sweet one,
The last couple of months have been kinda rough for me when it comes to playing the whole entrepreneur game.
I’ve been so committed to expansion, playing in a bigger arena, saying YES!, etc., that I forgot about why I do what I do — my “what for”.
I became so focused on generating results, A.K.A. money, that my heart was no longer the thing in the driver’s seat.
I thought that writing down my financial declaration for the month would be a stellar idea, so I put it up on my mirror to be reminded of multiple times a day.
While that may work for you, it doesn’t work for me, so on Thursday, I ripped it down. And, you know what? Possibilities and opportunities began pouring in!
While the cheddar matters, it’s not what matters most.
Let’s get present to that again: While the cheddar matters, it’s not what matters most.
Doing what you love sources your being, and it doesn’t always have to be about money. In fact, when we make it about the cash, we usually lose a lot of power because the currency is the measure, not the “what for”.
When our why for doing what we’re doing is about serving people, animals, the planet, etc., everything else follows, especially for those of us who are in service based businesses.
Acts of service raise our floor, so when you look at them through that lens, it could be considered self care. As we can begin relating to it as an act of self love towards ourselves, we get more deeply connected to the giving and receiving of how we exchange energy. From there, there’s always enough. There’s less burnout and more joy.
Not in a service based business, but seeing how integrating more of this into your world would fill you up? Pick up a volunteer shift. Get creative. There are so many ways to serve!
If you’re already in a service based business and it feels tiring, it doesn’t have to be that way, and I’m here to support you in transforming that so you and your clients can have an even better experience. Simply reply to this email, and we can set up a no strings conversation to see if coaching is the right vessel to move you forward.
If you’re in the Charlotte metro area, I’d love to give you the gift of deep stretch yoga because of how much it has done/does for me. I’ll be subbing a class tonight at our Be Yoga South location at 7:30! Can’t make it tonight? That’s okay — I’m at Be Yoga Dilworth every Monday at 10:15 am and Okra every Thursday at 12:30 pm. Plus, I’m subbing the 11:00 am deep stretch at our South location on the 4th of July! No better way to experience freedom than in yourself.
Loving the videos? Here’s one I made about acts of service raising my floor after I got to lead a 2 hour workshop.
