I gotta tell you: My retreat in Jamaica last week was terrific! I got lots of R&R and even had time to post a Facebook video from my castle (yes, a real castle). It was incredible to be with people who frickin’ get what I’m up to and receive this beautiful level of support from fellow business owners.
Speaking of support, I’ve alluded to leadership in my newsletters, but I haven’t shared some big news: I’m co-founding a new start-up in Charlotte!
Transformational Leadership Experience (TLE) is an immersive, experiential group coaching and leadership development program that’s already happening in big cities like Chicago.
I’m partnering with one of the co-founders in DC on the Charlotte chapter, which will bring a team of highly-skilled and TLE-certified coaches/trainers to help entrepreneurs and leaders make big leaps in their businesses.
You may be wondering, “Where does this fit in to The Bold Thing?”
Here’s the deal: Through The Bold Thing, I do one-on-one coaching and in-home deep stretch yoga classes, and I love it. When I go into the home, I share my coaching/yoga package “A Bold Practice for a Busy Brain.”
When it comes to group coaching, TLE provides space to gather leaders and entrepreneurs who want to practice growing their mindsets, motivations, leadership skills and high level strategy.
What’s so powerful is how people in TLE benefit from the collective wisdom of the group. There’s a greater level of accountability when it’s not just you and a coach: You can learn from people who may have been there and done that, saving you the pain of making the same mistakes in your own business.
Think of it this way: Comedians hone their acts in small night clubs before bringing it to their Netflix specials. At a certain point during their creative process, they can’t keep writing and saying jokes in a vacuum.
They need to start making people laugh.
They need to workshop what they’ve got, taking critiques and kudos.
