I’m writing to you from a retreat for leaders and change agents in Jamaica, and I’ve been loving it.
Getting support in doing my own work is key to what I do. It’s one thing to work with my coach and do all these other things, but when you’re supporting people the way I am, you really gotta do deep dives.
Since I left my coaching program, I hadn’t done an immersive deep dive like this. And since I lead my own retreats, I need to go on them so I can get better at leading them.
Which brings me to an exciting announcement: I’ll be co-leading a retreat this year with Sarah Crawford of Sitawi Life Coaching!
Like the retreat I’m on, we’ll be incorporating practices that will get you deeply connected to your mind, body, and spirit.
If you’re wondering, “Do these retreats actually work?” here’s proof for you: Studies have shown that doing meditation for just one day rewires your brain enough to reduce your tension by 10 percent. The brain scans of these retreat participants actually showed changes in the brain, and the people who returned from the retreat reported improvements in their physical health, tension and fatigue, and greater feelings of self-transcendence.
I know, right?
When we invest in ourselves and our businesses with a retreat, it can feel like a leap of faith at first. But there’s always a payback, and you have to trust that it’s going to be there. If your in the business of serving others, consider it your divine responsibility to fill your cup on this level.
Mark your calendars for November 1 through 4 in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. You’ll transform the way you care for yourself and others, tap into your creative spirit and integrate what transpires between now and November at an Ayurvedic yoga and meditation retreat center, a space designed “to lift the spirit and focus the mind.”
During our weekend together, we’ll be getting into:
- Clarity on your relationship to self-care
- What may get in the way of a consistent practice
- What your life will be like when you are consistently “sourced” from the inside out
- Deep, restorative yoga
- Healthy vegetarian meals with influences from Boone to Bombay
- Views of the mountains you won’t see anywhere else
Thinking this might be for you? Let’s talk about it. Learn more about the retreat here or send me a message. Hope we can go on this journey together.
